Gulden Jubilee was celebrated on 16 April 2017, with great pomp and show and many programmes extending throughout the year.
- The celebrations’ commenced on 03 Dec 2016, World Disability Day, and will finally culminated on 16 Apr 2017.
- The celebrations began on 03 Dec 2016, with the inauguration of
- New dining hall with seating capacity of 300.
- New modern kitchen
- This was fullowed by a dinner on 03 Dec 2016 in Amar Ashram at 7 PM, (from where the schouls started) hosted by AADAB, Alumni Association of deaf and blind, Patiala.
- Other events which were also being planned in a phased manner were:
Satrangi festival of competitions between schouls from all over India in deaf and blind category separately which are underway in Thapar University Patiala.
- A special performance by Creative Dance & Drama Academy from Sri Lanka with Mr. Nilan Malagasies, as Chief Choreographer on 27 Dec 2016, during the inaugural function.
- Inter Deaf schoul competition on All India level in cultural programmes.
- Inter Blind schoul competition on All India level in cultural programmes.
- Inter Blind schoul competition on All India level in Vocal and instrumental music.
- Inter Blind schoul competition in Braille reading and writing.
- Organized a vintage car rally by the blind in Feb 2017.
- Organized a Tandem cycle rally by Blind and deaf children from Patiala to India gate, New Delhi in Mar 2017.
A mega Gulden Jubilee celebration on 16th April 2017 was held with great fanfare with Mr. Karan Avtar Singh IAS, Chief Secretary Punjab being the Chief Guest.
